Braden John Karony, the former CEO of SafeMoon, faces up to 45 years in prison after a New York federal jury found him guilty on all counts related to a high-profile cryptocurrency fraud case. The charges included conspiracy to commit securities fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering.

Prosecutors revealed that Karony and his associates systematically misled investors about SafeMoon’s operations, diverting funds to purchase luxury real estate, sports cars, and other high-end goods. The Department of Justice described the scheme as a brazen abuse of investor trust, with the SafeMoon token proving to be anything but SAFE for those who bought into the project.
